I am in the beauty business for ten years now. I have my own salon and I have expertise in bridal makeup. After seeing my work a lot of people wanted to do the same, which includes my relative too. People who want to make careers in the beauty business should know where they want to reach. You can become a hairdresser, hairstylist, makeup artist, nail care artist, and so on. It might be too much for some people if they want to be multi-talented. For example, you might want to learn hairdressing and makeup together. You might want to learn all of them too. The beauty courses start from a few weeks to a year depending upon what all you want to learn.
Going down that Road
Whatever you might choose be advised – choose, select and become an expert in that category. Let’s say you start as a hairdresser and move on to become a hair stylist. The must haves
Though this industry is full off under graduates but if you want to become an expert, education is must. Though 12th class is the minimum ask for most courses being a graduate won’t hurt either. This will help you understand modern techniques and methods faster. If you can add a self-grooming course with your graduation it will help you immensely. A person, who has good command on language, is confident and a good listener will have a loyal clientele. Though language is no barrier but having command in English will put you on top list. Remember this beauty industry requires you to be creative. You might be good in color combination but you might be good with hair styling. Know your super powers and then opt for that course. Now, creativity is something which cannot be taught. Either you have it or don’t.
Once done, then what?
Practise, yes practise makes a person perfect. Since this is my blog I will be talking examples from the courses we provide. With the professional courses we also give internship of three months.
